Too hot to bake? Make this a day ahead of time and you've got yourself a light cool dessert.
All you need is:
8 oz softened Philadelphia cream cheese
12 oz (the large container) Cool Whip
1/3 cup sugar
16 oz (2 cups) sliced strawberries, plus extra to garnish
graham crackers
chocolate wafer cookies
Start by mixing cream cheese and sugar together, then fold in Cool Whip by hand. Set aside.
Layer the bottom of a 13 X 9 inch pan with graham crackers.
Take a 1/3 of the Cool Whip/cream cheese mixture and carefully spread it over the graham crackers. It'll be a little tricky to spread, just hold the crackers down as you go.
Next put a 1/3 of the sliced strawberries on, then cover with a layer of chocolate wafer cookies.
Continue layering, ending with cream mixture and then strawberries.
For the garnish, top with some whole strawberries then melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 1 tbsp 10% cream together. Drizzle over strawberries.
Decorate some chocolate wafer cookies with icing if it's a special occasion.
Chill 24-48 hours.
Mom's are always running, am I right? And when you hit menopause, you're running hot and cold! So welcome to Hot and Cold Running Mom...where you'll find mostly easy recipes (because who has time for complicated ones!), helpful household hints and a few crafts. Note: NOT just for Menopausal Moms!
I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!
