I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Nutty Salmon Fillets

Had a busy day, didn't know what I was going to make for supper, ran in and grabbed a package of frozen salmon fillets from the freezer and this is what happened.

4 salmon fillets
2 tbsps chopped salted peanuts
2 tbsps chopped tamari roasted almonds
(salt if using unsalted nuts)
2 tsps dijon mustard
1 tsp honey

Preheat oven to 450F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.  You could place fillets on top of lemon slices, spinach or radish tops, but it's not necessary with parchment. Mix dijon and honey together and spread over the fillets. Press the chopped nuts on top.

Bake for 15 - 20 minutes from frozen.
Drizzle with olive oil to serve.
