If you are a "meat and potatoes" kind of person then this is your pizza. Prepare 1 pizza dough recipe and add 1 tsp dried rosemary to the dough. You could use The Best Pizza Ever recipe found here:
http://hotandcoldrunningmom.blogspot.ca/2014/03/this-is-best-pizza-ever.html
Toppings:
1 cup cooked, chopped chicken
1 potato, thinly sliced
3 cloves garlic, sliced
2 tsp dried rosemary
1/2 cup chopped onion
sprinkle parmesan
(This is how thin the potato slices should be)
Sauce:
2 tbsps butter or marg
2 tbsps flour
1/2 - 1 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 cup milk
1/2 cup cream cheese
Prepare pizza dough and while it is rising make the sauce.
Add butter to a saucepan, melt and add flour. Whisk together then add the milk and cream cheese. Continue whisking and add salt and pepper. When thickened set aside. This makes enough for 2 pizzas or you could use the extra sauce mixed with your favourite pasta.
Once you have your pizza dough in the pan spread the sauce evenly
and top with chicken and onion. I had dark meat only but you could use chicken breast or better yet, rotisserie BBQ chicken. Next lay the potato slices out and sprinkle with garlic, rosemary and parmesan cheese.
Place in oven on lower rack at 450F for 15 minutes.
Mom's are always running, am I right? And when you hit menopause, you're running hot and cold! So welcome to Hot and Cold Running Mom...where you'll find mostly easy recipes (because who has time for complicated ones!), helpful household hints and a few crafts. Note: NOT just for Menopausal Moms!
I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!
