When you are left with a bunch of empty marrow soup bones that have been happily devoured by your pooch, fill them with a tasty treat.
Mix together:
plain mashed potatoes
an egg
some chopped cooked veggies
a little chia seeds
oats
Mix it to a consistency that won't run out the other side of the bone when you're filling it.
Pop them in the freezer. Any leftover filling can be frozen in an ice cube tray.
Just grab one from the freezer when someone deserves a treat.
Your canine buddy will love you for it!
Mom's are always running, am I right? And when you hit menopause, you're running hot and cold! So welcome to Hot and Cold Running Mom...where you'll find mostly easy recipes (because who has time for complicated ones!), helpful household hints and a few crafts. Note: NOT just for Menopausal Moms!
I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!
