I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!

Crock Pot Braciole

Smells wonderful and tastes even better!

3 sirloin tip steaks
1/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/2 cup parmesan
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp oregano
2 tbsps olive oil
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
2 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper to taste
28 oz can diced tomatoes
1 bay leaf
1 cup red wine

Mix bread crumbs, parmesan, parsley, oregano, olive oil, walnuts, garlic, salt and pepper together. Spread over the steak which has been pounded to a uniform thickness. Roll up and tie with kitchen string to secure.

Heat olive oil in a large frying pan and brown rolls on all sides. Remove to a plate.

Add diced tomatoes and red wine to the pan to deglaze , then pour into the crock pot. Add the bay leaf and top with the meat.

Cover and set slow cooker on high for 30 minutes, then reduce heat to low and cook for 4 hours.

Serve over rice or pasta
