Perfect for frosting a cake or just scarfing it down with a spoon!
You'll need:
12 oz semi sweet chocolate
3 cups whipping cream
2 tbsps sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Microwave the chocolate on medium heat for 2 - 2 1/2 minutes. It'll be almost all melted. Just stir and set aside. The rest will melt. Better than over-heating the chocolate.
In a large bowl beat the whipping cream 3 - 4 minutes until stiff.
Add the vanilla, sugar and melted chocolate and mix until combined.
It seemed funny to add warm melted chocolate to the whipped cream but it was fine.
Just gave it a little dusting of cocoa and added sprinkles.
Makes enough for one 8" round double layer cake.
Mom's are always running, am I right? And when you hit menopause, you're running hot and cold! So welcome to Hot and Cold Running Mom...where you'll find mostly easy recipes (because who has time for complicated ones!), helpful household hints and a few crafts. Note: NOT just for Menopausal Moms!
I started this blog so my daughters could find all of our family favourite recipes in one place. It has actually grown into more than just the family favourites but also other recipes we've tried out in our kitchen. I don't like to fill up the post with alot of chatter. Sometimes there's a little story to tell, but usually I like to get right to the point. So this is for them, but hope you find some recipes that you like as well. I'll be sharing a lot of recipes, and along the way you'll find some crafty things and maybe some helpful hints too! Welcome!
